About Us

The LaGrange Community Park, LaGrange Ohio is a joint venture of LaGrange Township and the Village of LaGrange.  At this time, the two entities have completed all work without receiving any additional taxes. Using current monies and grants, as well as donated labor, has been cost-effective but slow. Progress will continue to be slow if we expand the park in this fashion, especially with the question marks associated with the State of Ohio's budget. There is no current completion time for all of the park’s planned features.

With smart planning and economical use of resources, the Park Board has completed a new parking lot with 465 spaces to serve the rear soccer and football areas of the park. This parking lot will also serve an ice skating pond as well as a sledding hill (both under construction) located in the rear of the park. The Village and Park Board are working on new lighting for the rear roadway and parking lot. An additional football field
s and baseball diamonds are in the plans if funds become available for construction and continued maintenance. An additional concession stand to serve the rear portion of the park is also on the Board’s agenda.

The Park Board is now an independent entity, submitting a budget to the Village and Township governments. They will continue to do work on the long-range plan.
